In the last several years the globe witnessed one supply chain issue after another. Everyone is tired of talking about it, but it doesn’t make the problem go away. For companies with physical products, their survival is dependent upon their ability to navigate unpredictable part shortages.
In 2022, there was a global shortage of electronic components for many reasons. While the globe has mostly recovered from that specific shortage, our team took time to discuss the challenges and what to do when a key part to a design isn’t available for 87 weeks. More importantly, however, we discussed ideas for how to find parts when no parts can be found through the typical channels.
